The house was built in 1894 in the typical southwest orientation of Mallorcan country houses and has a constructed area about 400 m2.
When the visitor enters the country house by an old, massive wooden door, he steps into a typical large entrance hall. Immediately the beautiful tiles of clay and the well-kept wooden beams in the ceilings call ones attention, and which give the house its warm, Mallorcan charm.
From the entrance you enter the spacious living area with open fireplace, the also large dining area and the fully equipped white kitchen.
On the upper floor, from where one has a perfect view over the beautiful landscape, there are the bedrooms and mediterranean-style tiled bathrooms. In all rooms you have typical Majorcan details like niches in the walls or very rustic ceiling beams. In some rooms there is air conditioning.
At the side of the house there is a pergola, in whose shadow you may linger. The house is very tastefully surrounded by Mediterranean plants, on one side an enormous Bougainvilea pleases the visitor.
In the garden there is a large, natural swimming pool, some carob and almond trees, holm oaks, flowering bushes and cacti round off the picture.
There is a garage and a lot of parking place. There are two wells that supply the house and the garden.
This is a very charming, rustic-cozy house with character and some potential for expansion.
Location The village of Calonge is only about 200 meters away. Being close to the elegant port of Porto Cristo and its Mediterranean flair, as well as to the small, romantic bays with white sand beaches and crystal clear water, a high recreational value is guaranteed. Both Porto Cristo and Porto Colom are always worth a visit and invite you for a walk along the harbor or through the old, picturesque streets, to stroll through the shops or to dine in one of the good restaurants by the sea.
Manacor, the second largest city, can also be reached within a few minutes by car and invites you to stroll through chic fashion shops, decoration and furniture stores, and shopping on a daily vegetable market, where fresh products from the surrounding fields are sold.
Here you can realize your dream of country life, but without being isolated.
